A Jaw-dropper

I am so excited to share this with you today!
Now, I will not take credit for this creative genius idea let alone the amazing execution of the idea, that all goes to my great uncle Jim.

We had Thanksgiving at my great aunt & uncle's house this year. They always have the house looking beautiful for the holidays, but I will say that they did some things different this year. Oklahoma is known for having unpredictable weather, you never know what you are going to get from day to day. Well this year, fall has been quite mild so far. With winter approaching we have yet to have freezing weather. Because of that it has allowed us to prolong our outdoor activities. With that being said, uncle Jim gave some extra attention to the back patio this year to accommodate for the mild and enjoyable weather. He created an area that calls for you to come, sit, and stay a while.

Here you see a beautiful "fireplace" made out of logs!
Yes this is more than your normal at home project, but for someone who knows how to do small amounts of welding this project is a piece of cake.

As you can see the wood piles are just stacked, but held securely in place by the rod frame outlining the fireplace.

The shelves are up to your desire and creativity.
Uncle Jim extended rods on either side for added shelving on the sides as well as the shelves in the center.

And have fun with the painting!
This is a traditional, classic look here with the white strips, but to each his own!

This is the perfect thing for your back patio to welcome in the Christmas spirit while enjoying the company of loved ones. Beautiful, warm, welcoming, and the perfect place to slow down.

How are you creating an atmosphere for Christmas this year?
