A Simple & Practical Project

We have all seen numerous projects involving chalk paint, it is so awesome! How has this not been around longer? So many possibilities. So many options. It can turn something unnecessary into something practical for everyday living. And here is yet another example.

So I have this zebra charger. It was given to me as a themed gift along with many other things zebra. It is super cute. But obviously I am not going to use it for a place setting only having one. So I decided to find a practical use for it rather than letting it just sit around, adding clutter. Why not make it into a kind of message board? Maybe you don't have an unnecessary charger sitting around your house, but they are very durable and cheap so you could just go pick one up at Hobby Lobby or any home decor store.

Here is what you need:
-A charger or some sort of base.
-Chalk board paint.
-Paint brush.
-Hot glue gun.
-Wooden circle ($0.79 at Hobby Lobby).

And here is what you do:

Paint the wooden circle with 2 coats of chalkboard paint.

Let the paint dry. Then hot glue the wooden circle to the center of your base.

I chose to display my board on an easel, but you can hang it or use a ribbon to hang it on the wall.

Super easy, but very practical.
What projects have you done with chalkboard paint?
