A Weekend Project

Happy Friday!
I know we are all gearing up & excited for the weekend. Today I wanted to share with you a project that I tackled last weekend. Who knows, maybe this will give you something (else) to do this weekend.

Animal Silhouettes
This project really is super simple. You don't need to be a talented artist for this one! Just head on over to this wonderful website http://www.activityvillage.co.uk/animal_templates.htm and pick out the animals you would like to use for the project. I chose to use a monkey, penguin, butterfly, turtle, owl, cat, and an elephant. Then just print out the animal templates and cute out the size of the animal that you would like to use.

Then you are going to take the animal you cut out of the template and place it on the color of paper you want and trace it with a pencil.

Easier than you thought so far, huh?
Next you take the cut animals that you just traced out on the pretty scrapbook paper (or whatever kind of paper you prefer) and arrange it on the paper you would like to use for the background. I used spray adhesive so that the paper wouldn't get soggy. A lot of times when you use regular glue the paper will look bubbly & wet. The spray adhesive worked amazingly!

And you come out with something like this little owl here.

All you need now is a frame! Pick out whatever frame fits the room you would like to put these in and slap these suckers in there.
Boom, Done!

I think these guys are just so cute! Not because I made them, I just love the idea. They are GREAT additions to a kid's room, game room, or nursery, and VERY inexpensive. If you want to do something with your kid-friendly room, but don't want to invest in a new paint job or complete new decor, these pictures really do add a lot to the room & with the right patterns can give you the perfect new look.

Well, I hope you enjoy! Have a wonderful weekend!
