A farewell

At 4:00 am I arrived at the air port. I checked in my luggage and headed to security. After security I located my gate, and then the waiting began. Waiting to board the plane; to begin the very long journey across the ocean, crossing over continents, until finally arriving in Ethiopia.

The necklace my sister & friend got me for my birthday,
"A heart for Africa" from The Vintage Pearl.
This is the trip that I have been waiting a year for; anticipating, praying, trying to imagine, and it is finally here. For the next 10 days I will be experiencing things, seeing things, that most can hardly imagine. To see thousands of people gather together, rain or shine, to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ for the very first time in their lives. To see blind eyes opened, deaf ears receive their hearing, tumors to be dissolved before my eyes. The demon possessed to be set free. It is going to be an incredible and life-changing 10 days.

I would really appreciate your prayers while I am gone. Of course for safety in traveling and protection while I am there, but also that God will change thousands and thousands of lives!

I will still be here on the blog... well kind of. I will be posting as usual (and there are lots of things gonna be on here while I am gone. *hint hint) because I have my posts all scheduled and ready to go. So be sure to come by here Monday-Friday and see what I've got in store for you while I am out of the country. So, come and see me, leave me some comments, and I will be back to respond to them and post live in 10 days!
