Romans 3:23-24
"for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

This is such a great reminder to follow up yesterday's verse about God being the judge, not us. We have all sinned. If you have lived for the Lord for a while that is something that is easy to forget. Even though we don't live in sin anymore, at one time we were in sin. But it is ONLY by God's GRACE that we are saved. It is nothing that we have earned through years of service.

Last Monday at youth, I spoke about God's redeeming love that runs through the bible and through each of our lives.
I explained the meaning of redemption, and realized it is not just another word to say Christ saved us. It is a term that describes the price that had to be paid in order for us to be saved. It refers to being rescued, being bought back, and that was no small price.

No matter how long we live for the Lord, let us never forget the depth of God's grace and love, the deep cost of redemption, and the miracle that though once we were sinners and fell short, we have be rescued and redeemed.
